Storyline:

Based on the inspiring true story of 12 underprivileged and orphan children from Kalinga Institute in Odisha, India ‘Jungle Cry’ follows their triumphant journey to the International Junior Rugby Tournament held in the UK in 2007.

Helmed by Sagar Ballary, and starring Abhay Deol in the lead role, the sports drama chronicles an inspirational, true but untold story of 12 underprivileged children from Odisha’s Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) who went on to win the Under 14 Rugby World Cup in 2007.

The sports drama also features Emily Shah, Atul Kumar, Julian Lewis Jones, and Stewart Wright. Abhay plays real-life coach Rudra, Atul Kumar as the institute’s founder Achyuta, Emily Shah as physiotherapist Roshni Thakkar and Stewart Wright as Paul Walsh. The entire team works tirelessly and dedicatedly to provide 12 underprivileged kids with a chance of a lifetime.
